This application was programmed to provide a web-accessible dashboard to tell if an employee was in or out of the office. The application was developed in a Wndows, Apache, Mysql, PHP platform on which Microsoft IIS services ran. The in/out board used the core contact tables of the V-Tiger CRM to add, edit, or delete employee information. A custom table was added to the CRM platform to include the employee’s in/out status, expected return, and any comments.

A redesign of Alltec’s intranet site into a content management system that could be updated by multiple employees and would support the following web-based applications: document management, calculators, calendar, & employee in/out board.

Alltec’s new website was given a two-month launch date after manager’’s approved of using the Multiflex theme. I ported this theme to the Textpattern content management system and added additional features, such as the header image rotator, which changes the header image each time a user visits a separate page. In addition, custom applications were created for the users: glossary database application and a lightning risk assessment. To enhance user interaction, JQuery was implemented on several pages. Alltec’s vistor ratings doubled after the redesign of the site.
