This piece was choreographed for ACDT’s performance of the Jungle Book in 1998 at the Diana Wortham Theatre. The dancers were my students from the new studio of dance. I am performing the solo at the end of the group piece.

Everything I Am Not

Self Portrait Projecct

In 2007, on a whim, I took some photographs of myself in my bathroom dressed out as some weird strung out goth person. These photographs where absolutely horrible, which was the point: to show the darker, “bad,” side that every person tries to hide. We tend to only put forth images and words that put ourselves in the best light–in order to achieve acceptance. Like these masks we create, I created masks for these images and set it to Lightning Fields by Sneaker Pimps.
