Moments like rain
dropping from the sky
into my mind
pooling into a dream
marked by the softness
in his eyes
speaking without
breath or sound

A Matter of Perspective

Perspective
There is a girl;
She sits at a bar;
Ask why;
Know why;
Guess wrong or right
depending on her mood
in that moment,
for this night
she sits and writes
to erase the silence
surrounding her friendships.
As each day someone falls away
and someone draws close.
Each word moving farther
away from the good friend
she use to be.
