Poetic Diversions

Fantastic Poetry from Story of the Stone

I have come to love this excerpt from the Story of the Stone. So I post it once again here as a tribute the the wonderful poetry in this fantastic and tragic tale

Tides

Tides turn me over
and I am sound
moving onwards
to where I am bound
Yet there are no
shores to which I
am destined
only the wind
calls me to that
which I am beckoned

Winter

Winter, she is within me
To warm is to know
the burn of the summer’s sun

Protected: Dreams

There is no excerpt because this is a protected post.

Pooling

Moments like rain
dropping from the sky
into my mind
pooling into a dream
marked by the softness
in his eyes
speaking without
breath or sound
yet moving me still
on a thought
left unsaid
yet felt still
