The Botox Rejection

To my friends, don’t worry I don’t plan on going out next May and getting dozed with Botox. I rather put that money in my travel fund. I have learned one thing, however, lie. Don’t tell people about your nail appointments, teeth whiting routines, nightly crunch and push-up regiments, or hair treatments and definitely keep the microdermabrasion, facials, and Botox treatments to yourself. Everything all comes with no effort, and it is all “natural.” Just tell ‘em all you changed to an all organic, gluten free diet.

Boredom: Habits of Distraction

Who can say they have never suffered from such? It is something, I believe, we have all felt to some degree, whether it be waiting in traffic or watching a re-run for the third time on tv. Boredom, by one definition at least, is the perception at one’s environment is dull, tedious, or lacking in stimulation. I believe boredom is the 21st century’s biggest epidemic. We are constantly over-stimulated by our environment. Once we have seen something new & fresh a few times, we no longer find it interesting and continue on to something perceived to be more stimulating. At what point does something become boring?
