Project Description: Develop a internet-based maintenance database system so 35 locations can login, submit a workorder, update workorders, and check the history and status of workorders
Design: The work order/maintenance database was designed using PHP, mysql, html, and css. The project allows registered users to login and submit work orders. When the user sumbits a work order special routing protocols automatically emails the work order request to the person responsible for seeing the issue repaired. Work orders may be updated by adding notes or updating its status. These status updates and notes are also emailed to the appropriate individuals. The database also features an automatic on-call rotation function which displays the current maintenance technician on call.
Future Enhancements: Add Ajax to the update form. Add a dashboard based on user roles.
