Application Name: Alltec Intranet

Purpose: To redesign the company’s intranet site in a content management system that could be updated by multiple employees and would support the following web-based applications: document management, calculators, calendar, & employee in/out board.
Design: To maintain design consistency with Alltec’s Internet website, the Multiflex theme was ported to Textpattern and customized accordingly. Additional integration of opened source applications included a PHP-based background image rotator and Easy Calendar. Custom PHP programming included a part cost calculator (integrated into the CMS) and an employee directory and in/out board (Integrated into the CMS). JQuery and Javascript was used to enhance user experience.
This website was also ported to WordPress; however, I had to revert back to Textpattern . I did not have enough time to debug the calendar, cross browser functionality, as well as WordPress application bugs before taking a position with another firm. Particularly fun during this port was making WordPress plugins for the part cost calculator and employee in/out board.
